Zeus
Version 3 is now as easy to use, for the beginning web master, as it is
for the most advanced and experienced. Someone new to the Internet
can train and utilize the features that have been proven over and over
again. Zeus works if you do!
Self-Teaching

Zeus
now has a “self-learning” feature. Previous versions of Zeus
took hours of training, while the new Zeus takes just a few minutes. It
does not require any prior knowledge of the program.
The
most important feature, in this new version, is “EZ-Train”. “EZ-Train” is a new job area that allows a user to train their robot
in a matter of minutes. Instead of taking hours to train, like the
old Zeus did, it now takes the new user just a few minutes.
All
that is required, to train this new version Zeus, is to enter in a keyword
or phrase matching the type of web site you would like to trade links
with. Zeus then gives you a list of keywords and phrases that match the
type of web sites you want. Check the boxes next to the ones you want, and
in a matter of minutes, your Zeus is trained and ready to find web sites
that match YOUR theme.
It
even seeds your Zeus with it’s initial web sites to visit! You heard it
right! Keyword training and adding URLs has been automated J
The

Program
interface and organization
The
layout, user interface and organization of the new Zeus program, has been
completely redesigned. Zeus now uses an outlook bar, for ease of
operation and organization. This improvement makes it easy to follow
the steps that you need to do, to use Zeus successfully.
Job
area buttons are on the left of the program and structured in the order in
which they are used.
Start
at the top and work your way down the job icons, as you need to do a job.
Each Job area then has it’s own set of Tabs that allow you to easily
navigate to anywhere in the program with just a couple of clicks. Want
something bigger to see it better? Just grab it’s splitter bar and
resize it. Zeus even remembers your custom setup from session to session.
Zeus
now utilizes Complexity groups. A new user starts out in the Easy
Complexity mode. As they become more familiar with the program and
learn its features, one click and they can move up into the Intermediate
Complexity mode. This opens up new features. This change from the old Zeus
saves a beginning user from the confusion that they would have from being
exposed to more advanced features, before they were ready to learn.
Finally, is the Advanced Complexity Mode. This exposes Zeus’ most
advanced features to the user. With the new “User Experience
Level” feature of Complexity Modes, the user is only exposed to Zeus
features that he needs at his present stage of learning.
The
new Zeus has been completely redesigned so that a rank beginner can train
and use Zeus as quickly as an advanced Internet guru. Now it isn’t
even necessary to read the help files. With the old Zeus versions, this
took 16 to 20 hrs. Now one can have a Zeus trained and finding sites in
approximately 30 minutes, no matter what the user’s level of knowledge.
New
Projects
In
the top file menu, Zeus now has a selection under “File” called,
“New Project”. This makes it extremely easy to create new and manage
old databases for each of your web sites.
Zeus
even creates the default directories, folders, email and directory
templates. Setting up for another web site takes a matter of seconds.
There isn’t any limit to the amount of databases that you can manage
from ONE Zeus.
Zeus
even remembers the last 8 databases you have worked with and changing to
another, complete with it’s own separate email messages and templates,
takes one click. This feature is great for those who manage multiple web
sites.
Help

The
help areas have been completely redesigned.
Zeus
now has a compiled help file available from the top menu bar, with normal
contents, index and favorites features. The old pop-up, help windows
have been practically eliminated and replaced with new built-in,
mouse-over sensitive content. You can now check boxes in the help
windows, if you don't want to see them again.
The
numbers of floating windows have been minimized, the ones left with
selectable float features.
Each
job area has QuickTour viewlets. These teaching animations
enable you to become familiar with the different Zeus jobs, in a matter of
seconds. Over a dozen of these have been incorporated into the
program.
Setup Wizards

One
of the most important new features are the new settings wizards.
When your first start Zeus, basic set-up is a breeze. Six entries
and four clicks, and Zeus is ready to go and find web sites.
Internet
connection settings are a breeze; even setting up for proxy servers or
firewalls is simple. We have accomplished this through easy-to-use
wizards.
FTP
settings have now been automated. Zeus automatically tests your FTP
server and makes it easy to set up your FTP settings. Zeus even
creates a folder or directory, on your web site, at your command.
All the hassles of FTP settings have now been eliminated.
Templates
Templates
have been made easier to use. Templates for the Link directory,
which allow you to customize your Link directory to match your web site,
can now be used while Zeus is running. Make a change in your
templates and you will immediately see the effect that it has by reviewing
your Link directory and Zeus. Zeus is also now self-fixing, as far
as the linkages go, in your Link directory. If Zeus finds problems,
in your Link Directory, he automatically repairs them or helps you to
repair them.
E-mailing

Batch
e-mailing has been simplified and has it’s own area of the program.
You
no longer have to make very many confusing choices. One of the few choices
you still have to make is that of customizing your e-mail messages for
each web site, which the new Zeus makes easy.
Approving

Approving
web sites also has its own job area. It practically requires no help
in learning, because of the intuitiveness of the program. Zeus tells
you what you need to do by a series of check marks and red Xs. You
have to see it to believe it.
Directory
Manager
The
Directory Manager is available from the Approve Job area, Maintain Job
area, the Audit area, and also the Create Directory Job area. When
you need something, it is there.

There
are many new actions available from the action menu in the 4 different
theme site viewer incarnations. Who-is domain information is a click
away, including way-back machine, similar pages from Google, backward
links from Google, cached pages from Google, site information from Alexa ,
and traffic detail from Alexa.
Add / Edit Window

Add/edit
has been redesigned. There is a float option that allows you to
easily copy and paste information from e-mail directly into Zeus.
This is user selectable. Because of public demand, the annoying
MessageBox is now selectable.You decide what you wish to pop-up or not.
Auditing

The
audit has been completely redesigned also. It has its own job area.
Its even has it’s own toolbars.
“Help
find a link” is very intuitive now. And all Link menus are much
more logical, including menus to store links that you have traded,
different audit sorts, audit actions, after audit, and quick Link pages.
This enables you to make sure that your Link trade stays reciprocal.
Create
Directory

The
“Create Directory” area has been completely redesigned. The
first time through, Zeus makes it easy to enter your FTP settings.
After Zeus learns how to locate your web site’s root HTML directory and
has created your Link directory folder for you automatically, under your
control, he then allows you to add the directory and modify it using the
“Link Directory manager”. You then have the option of quickly
previewing exactly what your Link directory will look like.
The
next step is to create your directory. After the directory is
created, Zeus furnishes you a link to click on, to visit your newly
created and uploaded Link directory. Clicking a text box, even puts
the Link into your Windows clipboard. So you can easily add it to
your web sites navigational system.
Database
The
Access database has been upgraded and utilizes state-of-the-art
normalization techniques, relationships and indexes for faster data
retrieval.
Compacting
your access database is now available from the menu bar.
Backing
up your database is also available from the same menu bar.
Zeus
will even remind you to compact and back up your data base if you
haven’t done so in awhile.
When
you shut down the program, Zeus remembers all database and backup dialog
locations, respectively to all the different database projects that you
have. This is one smart Zeus.
Program Code
The
entire program has been redesigned, with a completely different interface.
Much of the code has been streamlined, for faster and more reliable
performance.
Robot
traversing logic has been extremely modified. Link and keyword
extraction has been speeded up as much as 50 times. Many new code
features make Zeus even more stable than it was before. Every bug that has
EVER been reported by ANY user has been addressed in THIS version.
New
controls have been added to Zeus and older controls have all been updated.
FTP, Mail, Toolbars controls, and new InfraGistics controls, now update
Zeus to all current programming technologies. State of the art re-sizing
controls, allow the user to re-size and remember Zeus screens easily.
New
error reporting, allows Zeus to be practically bug free.
Zeus
is designed for our programmers to quickly snap on new features and
programming abilities. You will quickly see a lot of the new
features coming to the next new versions of Zeus.
The
quick availability of new features is available because of this new
modular component design. Overall, this is the most important Zeus
upgrade that we have had in the last five to six years. You will be
